Tip of the day: How to wash jeans without shrinking them

February 26, 2010

I may have mentioned this already, but my roommate Brooke rides the short bus. Brooke Bennett. From Austin, Texas. Look her up.

Anyway, you can thank her for this “Tip of the Day.” Wash your jeans on cold to keep them from shrinking, then hang dry. That’s it. To make them feel less like a piece of cardboard once they’ve dried, put them in the drier on fluff (no heat) with a dryer sheet or two. Problem. Solved.
